Soil contamination remediation work

Management system based on the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act. It is responsible for protecting public health.

Measures for understanding the status of soil contamination and measures for preventing health damage to humans due to contamination are established under the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act, which plays a role in protecting the health of the public through the implementation of thorough measures. One of the purposes of the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act is "to properly manage contaminated soil." Landowners, among others, can choose measures for the removal of contamination that are recognized as having equal or greater effectiveness than the measures instructed, in addition to the measures specified according to the intended use of the land. In areas requiring notification during changes in land characteristics, there is no need to take measures for the removal of contamination, as there is no risk of health damage. [Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act System] ■ Abolition of the use of specified facilities for harmful substances (Article 3 of the Act) ■ Notification of changes in land characteristics for land of a certain size (3,000 m² or more) when the governor of the prefecture recognizes a risk of soil contamination (Article 4 of the Act) ■ When the governor of the prefecture recognizes a risk of health damage due to soil contamination (Article 5 of the Act) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
